Company History

Rod Chumley, the president of Scout Lake Construction Inc, started the company in 2004. He began working for Zirkle Fruit on various ranches, roadway construction and reservoirs. At that time, he purchased a grader and started with 1  employee. Rod has since expanded his company to over 100 employees and is still growing today. During the past 20 years he has broadened his expertise to include excavation from road construction, underground utilities, irrigation ponds footings and foundations and all facets of excavation contracting. Rod has also started a general contracting side that will build anything from concrete tilt ups, steel buildings, wood structures, commercial buildings and multi-story construction. Scout Lake Construction Inc. is set to build anything that is put in front of us!
